Most people spend their entire lives running from the parts of themselves they don’t want to see. We bury the wounds, disguise the insecurities, and pretend the past hasn’t shaped us. But the pieces we hide don’t disappear — they simply move into the shadows and start steering the ship from underneath.
Every reaction, every trigger, every moment you feel yourself tighten or hide… that’s your shadow calling for your attention. Not to shame you, but to liberate you. You can’t heal what you refuse to look at. And you can’t walk in spiritual truth while avoiding the places within you that still live in darkness.
The strange thing is this: the shadow is never as terrifying as the running. The moment you turn toward it with honesty — and surrender it to God — something shifts. The darkness loses its grip. The past stops defining you. And what once felt like a threat becomes a doorway back to wholeness.
If you’re carrying something heavy, something unnamed, something you’ve tried to outrun… maybe today is the day you stop running.

The whole idea of turning toward the shadow instead of away from it is pretty counterintuitive but makes sense. Most people spend years building walls around their uncomfortable parts, then wonder why they feel stuck. It's like trying to drive with the parking brake on because you're scared of going too fast.
I agree, until you integrate the shadow, nothing will move forward ! You gotta see, it acknowledge it, face it, name it and then let it sit beside you where it no longer can affect you in any way !
